BEIRUT, November 21, 2017 - The Lebanese capital Beirutwill host the 2nd Asian Women Sports Journalists Workshop fromNovember 27th -December 1st, 2017. The workshop isorganized by the Asian Sports Journalists Association AIPS Asia and hosted bythe Lebanese Sports Media Association (LSMA) in collaboration with The AmericanUniversity of Science and Technology AUST, and under the patronage of theMinister of Information, Melhem Riachy.
Newly-elected president of AIPS Asia, Mr. Sattam Al Sahliwill attend the opening ceremony with a delegation of the AsianAssociation. Around 30 female sports journalists from more than eight differentAsian countries, will participate in the three-day workshop and attend all theplanned lectures to enhance theirknowledge and expertise in journalism andreinforce their professional presence.
The AIPS Asia President thanked the Lebanese Sports MediaAssociation for their efforts and the Lebanese Minister of information foraccepting the patronage of this event. Mr. Sahli stated: “It is the 1st workshoporganized by the Asian Sports Journalists Association AIPS Asia after itselections in October, and we hope that this step will be the beginning of a newperiod that aims to emphasize on the journalists, especially the young ones andenable them to follow all the developments that target the media field.”
The Lebanese Sports Media Association President Mr. RachidNassar expressed his feeling of pride towards choosing Beirut as the startingpoint of AIPS Asia programs, and considered that this choice reflects an Asianappreciation for the position of Lebanon as a country and its important role injournalism in general and sports journalism on a more specific level.
The Lebanese Sports Media Association Vice-president andthe executive committee member of AIPS Asia Mr. Ibrahim Dsouki, revealed thatthe preparations of this workshop are running at a high pace and that all theefforts are being made to organize an event that reflects the ability ofLebanon to host the regional events regardless of the circumstances andsituations that effect the country, and that the Lebanese sports media will winthis challenge by demonstrating its real power, especially because hosting suchan event is the first of its kind in Beirut.
لبنان يستضيف ورشة العمل الثانية للصحافيات الرياضيات الآسيويات
بيروت في 21 تشرين الثاني/نوفمبر 2017 - تحتضن العاصمة اللبنانية من 27 تشرين الثاني الجاري ولغاية الأول من كانونالأول المقبل ورشة العمل الثانية للصحافيات الرياضيات الآسيويات التي ينظمهاالاتحاد الآسيوي للصحافة الرياضة وتستضيفها جمعية الاعلاميين الرياضيين اللبنانيينبالتعاون مع الجامعة الأميركية للعلوم والتكنولوجيا AUSTبرعاية وزير الاعلام ملحم الرياشي.
وسيحضر حفل الافتتاح رئيس الاتحاد الآسيوي للصحافة الرياضية الكويتي سطامالسهلي الذي يزور العاصمة اللبنانية برفقة وفد رفيع من الاتحاد. وسيشارك في ورشةالعمل نحو 30 صحافية رياضية من أكثر من ثمان دول آسيوية حيث سيخضن على مدى ثلاثةايام جلسات عمل ومحاضرات من شأنها ان ترفع من معارفهم ومهاراتهم الاعلامية وتعززحضورهم المهني.
رئيس الاتحاد الآسيوي للصحافة الرياضية توجه بالشكر لجمعية الاعلاميينالرياضيين اللبنانيين لجهودها في استضافة ورشة العمل كما شكر وزير الاعلام لقبولهرعاية الحدث. وقال السهلي: انها أول ورشة عمل ينظمها الاتحاد الآسيوي للصحافةالرياضية بعد انتخابه ونأمل أن تكون بداية عهد جديد في الاتحاد الآسيوي تهدفللاهتمام بالصحافيين والصحافيات ولا سيما الشباب منهم وتمكينهم من مواكبة التطوراتالتي يشهدها عالم الصحافة.
من جهته أعرب رئيس جمعية الاعلاميين الرياضيين اللبنانيين رشيد نصار عنسعادته وفخره باختيار بيروت من قبل الاتحاد الآسيوي لاطلاق مسيرته معتبراً أن هذايعكس تقديراً آسيوياً لموقع لبنان ودوره الرياضي على صعيد الاعلام عموماً والاعلامالرياضي خصوصاً.
نائب رئيس جمعية الاعلاميين الرياضيين اللبنانيين وعضو المكتب التنفيذيللاتحاد الآسيوي ابراهيم دسوقي كشف أن التحضيرات لورشة العمل تسير بوتيرة مرتفعة،وان الجهود منصبة لتنظيم حدث يعكس قدرة لبنان على استضافة الاحداث الاقليمية مهماكانت الظروف والأوضاع، وان الاعلام الرياضي اللبناني سيكسب التحدي باظهار امكاناتهالحقيقية ولا سيما أنه الحدث الأول من نوعه الذي تستضيفه العاصمة اللبنانية بيروت.
