COPENHAGEN, March 19, 2019 - The Danish Sports Journalists Association has elected Jimmy Boejgaard as its new president. He steps up from the position of vice president, replacing Andreas Kraul, who served as president for 8 years.
ANNUAL ASSEMBLY This decision was made by around 100 of 430 Danish SJA members who recently gathered at the association’s Annual Assembly. Andreas Kraul has decided to call time on his tenure at the helm but will continue in the board. He was strongly applauded by members, and further strengthened his popularity by staying in the board.
HONORARY MEMBERSHIP Jeppe Laursen Brock has taken over as secretary general in place of Tommy Poulsen, who last year decided to leave the board after serving for more than 20 years. Poulsen’s strong effort for the Danish organisation over the years resulted in an honorary membership. He becomes the 10th honorary member in the history of the Danish SJA that goes back to the year 1922. This means that the organisation is close to celebrating 100 years of existence. Flemming Olesen, a member of the AIPS Finance Commission, remains the Treasurer of the association.
