MILAN, May 21, 2019 - AIPS, USSI and USSI Veneto Group are pleased to announce a special event dedicated to journalists who have participated in 10 or more editions of the Giro D’Italia: AIPS Journalists on the Podium at Giro D'Italia.

On the occasion of the last stage of the Giro d'Italia in Verona on June 2nd 2019 and in collaboration with La Gazzetta dello Sport the professionals who participated in the history of the Giro, writing and telling the sporting exploits of one of the most famous events in the world, will be rewarded with an event dedicated to them.

For once, journalists will be on stage for recognition of their careers.

AIPS has continued this tradition of honouring longevity in sports journalism since the London 2012 Summer Olympic Games. The AIPS 'Journalists on The Podium' has so far celebrated London 2012 veterans, Sochi 2014, Pan American Games 2015, European Athletics Amsterdam 2016, Rio 2016, PyeongChang 2018, European Athletics Berlin 2018 among other competitions. It is the first time that AIPS 'Journalists on the Podium' are being celebrated at the Giro d'Italia.

In occasione dell’ultima tappa del Giro d’Italia a Verona il prossimo 2 giugno 2019 ed in collaborazione con La Gazzetta dello Sport i professionisti che hanno partecipato alla storia del Giro scrivendo e raccontando le gesta sportive di una delle manifestazioni più conosciute al mondo verranno premiati con un evento a loro dedicato.

Per una volta saranno i giornalisti a salire sul palco per un riconoscimento alla loro carriera.
