NHL Puck-Millionaires and Top Scorers play at Ice Hockey World Championship 2019 in Slovakia

BRATISLAVA, June 22, 2019 - Never had there been such intense interest in the participation of NHL Ice Hockey Players at the WM 2019 in Slovakia.
129 NHL Players from 27 NHL Clubs were representing their home countries. Within that group were 70 Millionaires and a total season salary of 388.491.000 US Dollars. The top earners at the WM were Patrick Kane (USA) and William Nylander (Sweden) with 12.000.000 US Dollars. Just behind were Jack Eichel (USA) and Alexander Ovechkin (Russia) with 10.000.000 US Dollars, and Leon Draisaitl (Germany) with 9.000.000 US Dollars.
This was the highest recorded level of earnings since the Ice Hockey WM of 1990 in Switzerland. Only 43 NHL players played there, no millionaires among them, with a total season salary income of 8.634.000 US Dollars.
In 2017 86 NHL players participated, 53 of them millionaires, with a total season salary income of 263.075.000 US Dollars.
Four players from the five NHL Top Scorers participated, Patrick Kane (Chicago Black Hawks), William Nylander (Toronto Maple Leaves) as well as the rookie stars Nikita Kucherov (Tampa BayLightnings ) and Leon Draisaitl (Edmonton Oilersl ).
