Moldovan Sports Media Team has once again showcased excellent football skills

CHINASAU, October 28, 2019 - While Moldova's National football team has had a disappointing run in the Euro 2020 qualifiers, the Moldovan sports media team triumphed on the football field for many years.
First came the victory in the “Media Cup”, a 10-team International tournament held in Druskininkai, Lithuania. A few weeks later came another major victory - the Moldovan Sports Press Association (APSM) team was once again crowned the Champion of Eastern-European and Balkan Countries.
This year's tournament took place in Siofok, Hungary on October 14-16.The list of tournament participants included sports media teams from Hungary, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Macedonia, Montenegro, Croatia, and Moldova.
The Moldovan team took first place in its group, having won matches against Croatia and Romania, APSM team conceded the game against Montenegro. In the semifinals, the APSM team earned a surprisingly easy victory against the Hungarian team 6-1. The final became the hardest, Moldovans clashed with Bulgarians 3-2.
The team was led by APSM President Eduard Ciobanu, who has served as captain and coach of Moldova's sports media team for many years.
The victory in Siofok crowned the Moldovan team as the Champion of Eastern-European and Balkan countries for the second time. The first title came in 2017, while in 2018 the APSM team became a silver-medallist in the tournament.
