LAUSANNE, January 17, 2020 - Olympic Channel coverage of Lausanne 2020 continues on the global digital platform and is available subscription-free in all countries. Coverage includes live and on-demand event streaming, a 24/7 Youth Olympic Games Channel, daily highlights and news and a daily “Olympic Channel Live Show” from inside the Athlete’s Village. In addition, the Olympic Channel’s digital-first coverage includes a daily blog, daily podcasts, streaming schedules, results and medal tables.
To achieve this robust slate of programming, 48 staffers from the Olympic Channel’s production, social media, data and technical operations teams are onsite to create content around the YOG that complements the live competition including social media, digital content and news.
In addition, the remainder of the Olympic Channel team are using the technical facilities at their Madrid headquarters to provide commentary for all live events, produce additional news and digital content, programming the 24/7 YOG Channel, and as a distribution hub to deliver content to our partners in efforts to use existing facilities and technologies for greater production efficiency.
As a worldwide digital rights-holder for Lausanne 2020, the Olympic Channel leverages a multi-platform distribution strategy that includes the web, iOS & Android applications, connected TV devices and social media, and via its video player in an embeddable format to partners within the Olympic Family.
