Kontinental Hockey League postpones six HC Barys games after positive COVID-19 tests

NUR-SULTAN, September 18, 2020 – The Kontinental Hockey League has postponed six regular season games involving Kazakhstan’s HC Barys after 12 members of the playing and coaching staff tested positive for coronavirus. The matches were scheduled to take place between September 18 and October 1.
The affected games include: Barys vs Dinamo Riga scheduled for September 18, Barys vs Severstal Cherepovets (Sept 20), Barys vs Metallurg Magnitogorsk (Sept 22), Barys vs Kunlun Red Star (Sept 21), Barys vs Vityaz (Sept 29), and Barys vs Sochi (Oct 1).
The entire HC Barys team must now undergo two weeks quarantine. The dates and times of the rearranged games will be confirmed by the KHL once a new schedule can be agreed with the clubs involved.
