AMMAN, November 30, 2020 - The Arab Development Council for Women and Business based in the Lebanese capital Beirut, chose colleague Hiba Al-Sabbagh representing Jordan, to be honored with ‘The Leader’s Imprint’ Award 2020. A prestigious excellence award in recognition of outstanding achievements in various fields.

Al-Sabbagh was chosen for her distinction and contribution in sports journalism, as she has more than 25 years of experience in the field of sports journalism, editing and sports creativity, in addition to holding many leadership positions, most notable of which: Head of Media in FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup 2016, and Media Director of AFC Women's Asian Cup 2018, both were held in Jordan, and Head of Media Committee in Arab Women Sports Conference for the years of 2019 and 2020, she also was a main speaker in AIPS’s seminar ‘The Cost of Reporting While Female’ as well as various activities in the field of print newspapers, radio stations and television.

Al-Sabbagh won many specialized awards, most prominent of which is her Award from Arab Sports Press Association during the honoring ceremony held in 2011 on the sidelines of Pan Arab Games in Doha, and recognition by Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Creative Sports Award for her prominent role in the success of the 9th edition 2017 of the Award.
