

DUBAI, March 29, 2021 - On the sidelines of the ACC general counsel meeting in Dubai on March 22, 2021, a meeting of the South Asian Cycling Assocation was held. The meeting attended by five member countries out of seven: Pakistan, Afghanistan, India, Nepal and Bangladesh. Sri Lanka and the Maldives were absent.
The meeting was chaired by Parmandar Singh, President of the Indian Cycling Federation, who was President of the South Asian Cycling Association for the last four years. The meeting discussed a number of matters related to development of cycling in the region.
The meeting awarded the South Asian Road Cycling Championship to Pakistan, Mountain Bike Championship to Nepal and Track Championship to India for the year 2021.
The meeting unanimously elected Syed Azhar Ali Shah (Pakistan) as President of the SACA for the next four years. The meeting also elected four Vice Presidents: MuhammadTahir(Bangladesh), Minder Singh (India), Karunartna (Sri Lanka), and one from Maldives.
Gopal S L kakshapli (Nepal) has been elected as General Secretary and Mr. Fasli from Afghanistan elected as Finance Secretary.
