TBILISI, October 23, 2021 - A new Georgian rugby franchise has started a brave journey. Black Lion (Shavi Lomi) is the name of the club.
The new Georgian franchise was tested in its first battle. The opponent – Tel Aviv Heat from Israel.
And the heat was on.
The Black Lion looked sharp and great and won 33:10.
Four tries is an achievement. Those tries (by Aka Tabutsadze 3, Shalva Mamukashvili) were sharp. All in all, Soso Matiashvili and Giorgi Babunashvili gained the rest of the points.
Bonus points were added as well and the team is getting ready for their next opponent. This time, versus Russian side Lokomotive.
