PARIS, October 29, 2021 - Vincent Duluc, a leading reporter for Journal L’Equipe, is the new president of the Union of the French sport writers (UJSF - Union des Journalistes de Sport en France). He succeeds Jean-Marc Michel who held the position for twenty-two years.
Duluc was elected for three years at the UJSF congress in Sète on October 13 at the head of the list: "Notre Pari pour 2024". In French, "Pari" is the translation of both "bet" and "challenge". The UJSF intends to succeed in this challenge with the AIPS, which was created in Paris during the 1924 Olympic Games and which will celebrate its centenary in Paris during the 2024 Olympic Games.
“I have always grown up with the awareness of what we owe elders. They have fought indispensable and inspiring battles,” declared the new president who wishes in particular to re-establish proximity with professional clubs. "I know it's a sweet dream," said Vincent Duluc, "I think we can still try... Journalists should be able to be more at the heart of sport.”
In addtion to his duties as a journalist of the daily L’Equipe, Vincent Duluc, 59 years old, is a recognised and prolific writer and the president of the French National Museum of Sports
