AJSB re-elects Liliane Nshimirimana as president
Liliane Nshimirimana remains president of the Burundi Sports Journalists Association
BUJUMBURA, November 17, 2021 - The AJSB (Burundi Sports Journalists Association) held its Elective General Assembly in the conference room of the Burundi Media House on November 6, 2021, to usher in a new Executive Committee after the tenure of the previous one expired on September 23, 2021.
For the position of president, there were two candidates Elysé Niyubahwe and Liliane Nshimirimana and it was Nshimirimana who got re-elected with 63 votes against Niyubahwa’s 45.
Arsène Bucuti was elected as vice-president after receiving 59 votes against the 47 votes received by his opponent, Olivier Nishirimbere.
For the position of secretary general, Thierry Niyungeko’s bid for re-election was unsuccessful as Hervé Mugisha won with 67 votes against 39.
Then Elvis Iradukunda and Emery Nkunzimana alias Bizos were re-elected as treasurer and deputy treasurer respectively.
