Al-Majd FC of Alexandria coach dies of a heart attack after a fatal goal yesterday

ALEXANDRIA, December 3, 2021 - Al-Majd Alexandria Football Club, a grand competitor in the Egyptian Football League, announced the death of its coach and the former player, Adham Al-Salehdar, of a heart attack during a match for his team on Thursday.
OFFICIAL STATEMENT
Mohamed Bahi, the media spokesperson for Al-Majd Club, stated to reporters: Al-Salehdar suffered a heart attack while his team was having a match in their home stadium in Alexandria after his team scored the winning goal in the 93rd minute against Al-Zarqa FC in the second division league. Al-Salehdar was taken to a nearby hospital but was announced dead on the way.
FOOTBALL LEGACY
Al-Salehdar played for the Ismaili club during the nineties of the last century in the same generation as the well known Fawzi Jamal, Ahmed Al-Agouz and goalkeeper Saafan Al-Saghir. With his team Al-Ismaili FC, he won the Premier League title in the 1990-1991 season and the Egypt Cup in 1997.
Al-Salehdar shifted to the world of training after retiring from football as he worked as an assistant coach for Al-Ismaili FC for almost a decade, as he also led the technical team in 2019 before being the head coach of Al-Majd Alexandria.
