Yannis Theodorakopoulos re-elected for 8th term as president of Greek Sports Journalist Association

ATHENS, December 17, 2021 - The Greek Sports Press Association (PSAT) has elected a new Executive Committee for the period of 2021-2024. An online voting system was used for the elections for the first time in the history of the Association. All members adapted quickly and the process was smooth and successful as 94% of the members gave their votes.
Yannis Theodorakopolous, AIPS Finance Commission member, was elected as president for eighth time. The former AIPS vice president and AIPS Athletics Commission chairman received 88,3% of the votes. He has been serving PSAT for over three decades.
The secretary general and treasurer positions are now occupied by women, establishing a new era in the Greek Sports Media history; Aspasia Velonaki (EC Member of the Sports Journalists Association of South Eastern Europe/SEESJA) and Aggeliki Vyzika.
Ioannis Daras, AIPS vice president, was elected as president of the 2nd level Disciplinary Council, for the second time. He was secretary general of PSAT in the past.
The outcome of the elections is as follows:

B’ Vice President: Staramopoulos Emmanouil
Secretary General: Velonaki Aspasia
Treasurer: Vyzika Aggeliki

First level Disciplinary Council: Mamouzelos Ioannis (President), Papanikolaou Dimitrios, Kotsonis Theodoros (members)
Second level Disciplinary Council: Daras Ioannis (President), Tsilkos Thomas, Kapageridis Ioannis, Argyriou Ioannis, Yiaginis Ioannis (members)
Auditory Committee: Athanasiou Georgios, Paganopoulos Andreas, Nikopoulos Nikolaos
