GAROUA, January 7, 2022 - The Sudanese national team’s delegation arrived safely in Garoua, Cameroon, by private plane on Thursday, in preparation for participating in the 2022 Africa Cup of Nations.
Soukour Al-Jedyan (nickname) arrived in Cameroon five days before their first match in the continental championship against Guinea-Bissau. The team found a warm reception first in the VIP lounge, and from the organizing committee of the competition by the Confederation of African Football "CAF" and from the officials of the Cameroonian Federation.
The mission did not stay at the airport for more than 10 minutes and then moved in an official convoy to their accommodating hotel. The mission also received a large number of the Sudanese community on their way, who were keen to cheer the players, greet the team members and sing.
The mission arrived at the Ribadeau Hotel, and was accompanied by the Nigerian team, which arrived in Garoua a day before. The Sudanese national team, led by national coach Burhan Tiye, will participate in a training session on Thursday evening. On the other hand, the only Sudanese professional in Europe, Yassin Hamid, the striker of the Hungarian Spartox team, joined the Sudani Mission this Thursday morning.
