

ROME, October 5, 2022 - Seoul, South Korea will welcome the AIPS Congress for the third time in 12 years in 2023. This was confirmed during the 84th AIPS Congress which came to an end today (October 5).
President of the Italian Sports Press Union (USSI), Gianfranco Coppola handed over the AIPS flag to Hee Don Jung, President of the Korea Sports Press Association - who on Tuesday October 4, became President of AIPS Asia.
The AIPS Executive Committee had confirmed during its meeting on Monday morning that Seoul, South Korea will host of the 2023 Congress.

While addressing the Congress on the initial plans that have been made towards the event, Jung revealed that the Congress would be held in May - the exact dates are yet to be decided. He said they already have a shortlist of five-star hotels that will accommodate all the participants.
“We hosted the Congress in 2011 and 2017 and interestingly after another six years we are very happy to host it again,” Jung enthused, adding that they are preparing an exciting four-day programme for the 2023 Congress.
Next year would be the fourth time that Seoul, South Korea will be hosting the AIPS Congress. The first time was in 1987, then 2011 and 2017. The 2017 edition, which was an elective Congress was held in Seoul and Pyeongchang.
