The partnership reestablishment with the European media community is demanding while all sports struggled during the COVID-19, and ETU and its President, Mr Sakis Pragalos are working to reinforce the media coverage of the Olympic sport in the European continent once again: “Hoping to cooperate on joint activities which will implement the shared vision between our two organizations, I am delighted that we have reached such an agreement and that we- as Europe’s taekwondo governing body – and AIPS Europe will continue to work closely together to further promote, develop and shape the future of taekwondo across the continent”, said the Secretary-General, Mr Antonio Barbarino and added: “I would like to thank the President of AIPS Europe Mr Charles Camenzuli for the constructive and collaborative manner in which he has approached this memorandum of understanding for the benefit of European taekwondo as a whole.”
The President of AIPS Europe, Mr Charles Camenzuli declared: “The Memorandum of Understanding between AIPS Europe and ETU proves to be the result of the long-lasting reciprocal support and commitment between the two entities. This also happens to be the first official commitment of the newly elected Executive Committee and to my re-election as President. This MOU is the ideal tool for the European Sport Media and for Taekwondo Europe to work together to develop and increase the awareness of the sport in media fora. I am glad to share the same ideals of ETU President Athanasios Pragalos as ‘together we succeed.”
The MOU contains joint ventures, among them the establishment of a working group with representatives by both parties and the representation of AIPS Europe in ETU sports events and this is under the objective of promoting and spreading Taekwondo sport into the European Continent.
The ETU Vice President, Ms Anna Vassalo stated: “I am honoured to sign this Memorandum of Understanding in Malta, since on this special occasion, the AIPS Europe President and I, are Maltese. This significant moment we are joining our efforts to achieve numerous objectives and accomplishments.”

This can be achieved only through a collaborative and constructive plan between the two organisations. I would like to place on record my appreciation also, in which AIPS Europe and specifically its President Charles Camenzuli, have worked with ETU to conclude this MOU. We bode well and I believe that our long friendship will set the tone for long-term cooperation.”
Among the MOU joint venture items, ETU’s proposal is to cooperate with AIPS in this new common section, in order to help the course of action dealing with the level of knowledge of the Media, the learning and training process through organised information seminars or Media labs and conferences. This will be established in all levels as coaching, referring, tradition, etc, while the Presidents of ETU, Mr Sakis Pragalos and AIPS Europe, Mr Charles Camenzuli, will undertake the commitment for the possibly nearer cooperation and the addressing of common issues
