

Guests from the every spectrum of society were in attendance at the Prague Hilton Hotel to pay tribute to the best sportspersons of the year 2022 as voted by members of Czechia Sports Journalists Association.
As usual there is no gender grouping. In the first vote, the SJA members select the Top 10 individuals and Top 3 teams, then the second vote defines the final positions in the country's most prestigious sports awards for more than sixty decades.
This year's winner is Olympic champion at the Beijing 2022 Winter Games in the snowboard parallel giant slalom category, Ester Ledecka, who is also one of best alpine skiers in the world. Ledecka won the accolade for a second time (previously 2018). The 27-year-old phenomenal snowboard and alpine skiing star defended her snowboard parallel giant slalom gold at the Beijing WOG 2022. In alpine skiing, she finished 4th in Alpine Combined and 5th position in SuperG.
The second place in the ranking belong to Barbora Krejcikova and Katerina Siniakova – winners of the Australian Open, Wimbledon and US Open and finalists of Masters Tournament 2022 in women doubles category.
In third position is starter for NHL's Boston Bruins and member of the Czech national ice hockey team at the 2022 IIHF World Championships, David Pastrnak.
The Team category was won by the Czechia Men's National Ice Hockey Team, which, after 10 years, won a medal at the 2022 IIHF World Championships, bringing home the bronze medals from Tampere.
The Czechia Women's National Ice Hockey Team also achieved the same success - for the first time ever - and finished second in the Team of the Year poll. Third place went to the Czechia Men's National Floorball Team – silver at the 2022 IFF World Championships.
Inducted into the Legend Hall was Kvetoslav Masita, a great motocross and enduro champion in the sixties and seventies, several times European and World Champion. Legendary athlete and coach of adults and children Jarmila Kratochvilova received a standing ovation and a prize for Dedication of Sport.
