2nd World Fair Play Photo Contest open for all sports photographers
ANKARA, November 22, 2023 - Applications for the 2nd edition of the Turkish Olympic Committee (TOC) World Fair Play Photography Contest are closing soon. The first edition was held in 2018 by the TOC Fair Play Council. The organization of the competition, which attracted worldwide attention, was interrupted due to the Covid-19 pandemic that affected the world. This year, the competition has resumed as of March 1st and the deadline will be in December 10th, 2023.
TURKISH SPORTS WRITERS ASSOCIATION COOPERATION
The TOC Fair Play Commission teamed up with the Turkish Sports Writers Association (TSYD) for the second edition of the World Photography Contest as Fair Play Commission President Erdoğan Arıpınar met with TSYD President Oğuz Tongsir in Istanbul with a delegation consisting of Vice President Remzi Yılmaz and Commission Member Bülent Tuncay. During the visit, details of the cooperation were discussed. TSYD President Mr.Tongsir stated that this competition is an organization that directly concerns the sports media and promised the Fair Play Commission that the Turkish Sports Writers Association will not only provide promotional support but also support it in all its work.
FAIR PLAY SERVICE MEDAL TO TONGSİR
During the meeting, the Fair Play Commission Delegation, chaired by Arıpınar, presented TSYD President Oğuz Tongsir with the Commission's Fair Play Stamp and first-day envelope, which were printed for the first time in the world in commemoration of World Fair Play Day in 2022, and the Fair Play Service Medal prepared in memory of the 100th Anniversary of Turkiye Republic this year.
PRIZES OF THE CONTEST
Prize Winners determined by the Selection Committee will receive a Fair Play Plaquette and Certificate of Participation. Prize money will be distributed as follows: 1st Prize: 2.000 USD, 2nd Prize: 750 USD, 3rd Prize: 500 USD, 4th Prize: 250 USD, 5th Prize: 250 USD.
Alongside the first 5 place photos, a maximum of 50 photographs determined by the Selection Committee will be published in the TOC 2nd World Fair Play Photo Contest Album.
