VALLETTA, March 1, 2024 - AIPS Europe, the European section of the International Sports Press Association, has backed the Greek Sports Journalists Association and colleagues working at COSMOTE TV/OTE TV in their demand for better working conditions.

Below is the letter signed by the AIPS Europe President Charles Camenzuli and addressed to the Greek Sports Journalists Association – PSAT, Dr.Ioannis Daras – AIPS Vice-Presidewnt and Ms Aspasia Velonaki – AIPS Europe EC member.

Dear Colleagues in Greece,

AIPS Europe -  the European section of AIPS - International Sports Press Association, aware of the current situation within Cosmote TV / OTE TV is very active on the side of the Greek Sports Journalists, who are working at COSMOTE TV/OTE TV (the Pay TV Sports Platform) who are on strike and demonstrating for better working conditions and salaries, asking for a new and fair Collective Labor Agreement of Journalists.

Their fight, supported by the Greek Sports Journalist Association (PSAT), the Athens Union of Journalist (ESIEA) and the Greek Union of Journalists (POESY), has got all our support and understanding  hoping that the owners of COSMOTE TV, one of the biggest telecommunication companies in Greece (OTE SA), accepts the fair requests of the Greek Sports Journalists.
