FIG signs partnership agreement with Italian jewellery brand Mikelart

LAUSANNE, May 31, 2024 - The occasion was further proof for Andersson that Grunden Bois was the club to be in. Two years later, the player proudly got Grunden Bois’ shield tattooed on his right arm and is now looking forward to his club taking part in the 2024 edition of the Gothia Cup.
Throughout it all, Guttormsen has been by his side.
“(He taught me) to grow as a person and dare to do more things on the football field and in life, in general,” Andersson said.
The FIG has signed a short-term partnership agreement with Mikelart which sees the Italian jewellery brand become an FIG Official Jewellery Partner until the end of 2024.
Mikelart has been producing high quality gymnastics jewellery since 2014 and shares the same passion as the FIG in promoting and celebrating the sport globally.
“This partnership with Mikelart is great news for the FIG, as Mikelart’s jewellery pieces are the perfect symbol of the beauty and grace of gymnastics. It also adds another dimension to the way athletes and fans can express their passion for the sport,” FIG President Morinari Watanabe said.
‘‘When you wear a Mikelart jewel you will carry with you the principles and values that the sport of gymnastics represents. We are proud to collaborate together with the FIG in celebrating the beauty of this sport through elegant jewellery pieces,’’ said Michele Sessa, the founder and CEO of Mikelart.
The Mikelart brand was born in 2002 from an idea of the young entrepreneur Michele Sessa, a goldsmith designer who developed a line of jewellery inspired by classical ballet. In 2014, in collaboration with the Italian Gymnastics Federation, a new line of jewellery dedicated to gymnastics was born: “The Jewels of Gymnastics”.
