AFC General Secretary commends AIPS Asia for successful 25th Congress in Kathmandu

KATHMANDU, September 15, 2024 - In a congratulatory message, Datuk Seri Windsor John, General Secretary of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC), praised the organizers of the 25th AIPS Asia Annual Congress, held in Kathmandu, Nepal. He extended his warmest congratulations to AIPS Asia President, Hee-Don Jung, and Secretary General, Amjad Aziz Malik, for their outstanding efforts in hosting the prestigious event.
STRONG RELATIONSHIP In a video address, Datuk Seri Windsor John highlighted the strong relationship between AFC and AIPS Asia, built on mutual respect and collaboration for the success of Asian athletes. "This partnership continues to strengthen over time, benefiting both organizations and the players we serve," he said. He emphasized the crucial role sports journalists play in promoting excellence in sports, particularly in football, and praised AIPS Asia members for their contributions.
POSITIVE INVOLVEMENT "The positive involvement of sports media in Asia is vital in raising awareness and connecting with audiences. The recently concluded Asia Cup in Qatar set new benchmarks in digital media coverage, and we are optimistic that future events, including the upcoming AFC Champions League, will further our success," Datuk Seri Windsor John, General Secretary of the Asian Football Confederation added.
He reaffirmed AFC's commitment to supporting AIPS Asia and concluded by congratulating them once again on the successful congress in Kathmandu.
