

KAMPALA, October 17, 2024 - President of the Uganda Sports Press Association (USPA) Moses Alysaed Lubega on Monday October 7, 2024 announced November 30, 2024 as the date for the association’s elective Annual General Meeting.
Speaking during the USPA monthly meeting held at the Uganda Olympic Committee, Lubega assured members that the association is on the right track and many activities are in the pipeline.
“We took a break to renegotiate all the contracts for the betterment of USPA members and ensure better packages for the association. We are coming back with Plascon awards, monthly awards and the annual gala early next year,” Lubega noted.
He further assured members that all previous winners will receive their awards and cash prizes and more partners are expected to join the association.

RESPONSIBLE GAMING On October 16, USPA and the National Lotteries Gaming Regulatory Board (NLGRB) officially entered into a partnership during the stakeholder engagement between both organisations held at Four Points Hotel, Sheraton. The collaboration aims to promote responsible gaming and mitigate the adverse effects of gaming. USPA will lead the campaign by the NLGRB to sensitize the public about gaming.
The NLGRB CEO, Denis Ngabirano, commended the great work USPA is doing in promoting sports activities in the country and is looking forward to this partnership yielding benefits.
