DOHA, October 25, 2024 - Morinari Watanabe (JPN) has been re-elected FIG President for a four-year term (2025-2028) at the 85th FIG Congress in Doha today. The Congress also elected all FIG governing bodies.

Morinari Watanabe (JPN) has been re-elected FIG President for a four-year term (2025-2028) at the 85th FIG Congress in Doha today.

Watanabe received 102 votes (65.38% of the vote), while his challenger Farid Gayibov (AZE) received 54 votes (34.62%).

The election of the President was followed by elections for the other FIG governing bodies.
