LAUSANNE, March 31, 2025 - We have arrived at another important phase of the AIPS Sport Media Awards 2024 and AIPS is pleased to start unveiling the shortlists for each category out of the 2,065 submissions received from 136 different countries.
305 submissions from 69 countries are still in the race to the final.
Shortlists will be announced per category, on both www.aipsmedia.com and www.aipsawards.com. All shortlists will be published in alphabetical order by country.
SECOND VOTING STAGE This second voting stage was exclusively carried out by the AIPS Executive Committee members (representing 24 different nations) who, after thorough and careful deliberation, narrowed down the longlisted works and voted for their preferred choices to be presented to the Jury.
WHAT HAPPENS NEXT The 10 nominees will follow soon and subsequently the three finalists for each category. The Jury will choose the winners one day before the final ceremony takes place.
FIRST TIME IN AFRICA – The AIPS Sport Media Awards ceremony will be held in Rabat, Morocco, during the AIPS Congress (May 13–16). It will be the first time that the Awards take their final gala to Africa, after being held four times in Europe—starting in Lausanne 2019, then Budapest 2020, Vigevano 2021 and Santa Susanna 2024—and twice in Asia: Doha 2022 and Seoul 2023.
SPECIAL MENTIONS – On top of the winners, the ceremony will also unveil the Special Commendations for some of the highlighted works, regardless of their final position. Later, the continental rankings will be published to recognise the best-performing participants in each region.
Once again, we are immensely pleased by the massive participation and the high level of the works received!
Stay tuned to our websites and social media channels (@AIPSmedia). For more information on the Judging process, we invite you to read the Rules at www.aipsawards.com.
