Media services for first ever European Running Championships which will unite elite runners and recreational athletes

BRUSSELS, April 8, 2025 - The first ever European Running Championships will take place in Brussels-Leuven on 12-13 April with elite races in 10km, half marathon and marathon disciplines competing for team and individual medals. Plus, for the first time ever, recreational runners will be competing in a European Athletics Championships event.
Triple European champion in the 5000m, 10,000m and European Cross Country Championships, Nadia Battocletti of Italy will be one of the standout stars at these groundbreaking championships. She will be joined by Dominic Lobalu of Switzerland, the reigning European 10,000m champion, and Jimmy Gressier of France, the European 5km record holder.

Virtual Media Centre
European Athletics and our Broadcast Partner EBU have designed a Virtual Media Centre – a browser-based platform – to allow all journalists and member federations to watch the live action (international feed) and simultaneously access all the information that is normally available to media in a physical Media Centre.

The Virtual Media Centre will offer a wide variety of services, useful to both on-site and remote media, such as:

Via EA and LOC Photo team, we will do our best to provide the widest possible photographic coverage of the championships.
